Generative AI Impacts the Freelance Market, Writing Job Demand Dropped by 30%
A new study shows that since the release of ChatGPT, generative AI has significantly affected the freelance market, especially in roles that are easily automated. The study, reported by the Harvard Business Review, analyzed 1.4 million job listings posted on a major freelance platform from July 2021 to July 2023. The research found that compared to labor-intensive jobs, the demand for 'automation-prone' positions decreased by an average of 21% after the launch of ChatGPT.
